Our Basswood Tree Slice Prayer Plaques make great inspirational additions to the decor of almost any room. We have several styles below and are always adding more prayers and sayings. Since these tree slices are taken from natural basswood trees the sizes will vary, as will the location of knots or other inclusions.
The Small pieces will be 4 to 6 inches high and flat cut on the bottom for display on a shelf or desk. The Large pieces will be approximately 11 inches in diameter and left roughly circular for hanging on the wall.
Please also note that any of the plaques below can be customized with a person's name or a date of significance. We can also make you a custom plaque with a favorite prayer, bible verse or saying.

FootPrints in the Sand
The engraved inscription of The Lord's Prayer reads as follows:
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprint. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow, or defeat, I could only see one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?" The Lord replied, "The times you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you."
